LA Film Festival 2008

This entire event was quite an experience. We arrived (my boyfriend and I) in LA at about 3:45pm. It was a hot and long car ride, but absolutely worth it. When we arrived, we picked up the tickets, but were told we'd have to wait until 6pm to begin lining up. We met up with a bunch of amazing X-Philes, many whom traveled from Northern California and other parts of the country. As we were being taken into the theater, I notice that David Duchovny and Chris Carter we right outside, but I only got a brief glimpse.

Once everyone is their seats, they dim the lights and show us 2 clips from the upcoming movie. To be honest, I was too excited and too focused on holding my camera to pay attention to what was going on. The first clip showed only a little bit of new material from the movie, most of which has been seen already in the newest release of the trailer. The second clip was an interaction between Mulder and Scully, not the most loving. It ended with Mulder telling Scully, "I'm trying to ignore you." On a happier note, both David and Frank told us that shippers would be happy with this movie.

I was only able to get a couple of useable photos as the lighting inside was terrible, even with a flash on the camera. While exiting the theater, we received hand signed movie posters. Sadly, some of them were missing David's signature, but I was lucky enough to get one of each.

I wanted to thank Frank Spotnitz, Chris Carter, and David Duchovny for taking the time to appear at the LA Film Festival.
